Language and Communication:Jason spoke primarily in short phrases of

three or more words with some sue of grammar ( e.g."I need more pieces"

and taking a bath"). He made frequent attempts to get the attention of

the examiner, often in order to initiate play. However, he often used

physical means, such as physically moving the examiner's hand to a doll.

unusual in intonation. He occasionally repeated words immediately after

in the past. Most often he repeated questions or comments when he

appeared especially excited about the activities he was participating in,

made good use of clear descriptive gestures, including miming blowing up

a balloon and demonstrating how to brush his teeth. His use of

descriptive language at times seemed overly scripted, and often included

the phrase " I want ____" even when he did not intend to request.
