The ADOS was administered to assess the presence of symptoms related to
a diagnosis of autism or autism-spectrum disorder. The ADOS is a semi-
structured play and interview observation task designed to assess a
child's communication and social relatedness. While scores on the ADOS
should not be used as the sole basis of determining the presence or
absence of an autism-spectrum disorder, the ADOS assists in the
diagnosis by providing information about the symptoms commonly seen in
these conditions. Observations are made in the following areas -
Language and Communication。Qualitative Impairments in Reciprocal Social
Interaction。Imagination/Creativity。Stereotyped Behavior and Restricted
Interests。
